Got back yesterday from skiing in Avoriaz, France, with Mike, Paul and Mark. We had a great time!
It snowed heavily virtually every day, which was a bit of a pain, and towards the end of the week, the conditions were a little slushy, but we managed not to break any bones :-) I actually spent more time this year on my snowboard than on my ski's. I am now converted to the way of the board :-)
Here are a few pictures from the trip...
This was the view from the balcony of the aprtment. This was taken on Tuesday, and was the first time we saw blue skies!
This is Mike and Mark. It was taken in Les Trappeurs restaurant one lunch time, when we decided it would be a good idea to drink steins of lager, then going skiing again.
Here's me looking like Han Solo on the frozen wastelands of Hoth :-)
It was freezing!
Here's Paul in a bar whose name I can't recall (I have no idea why!) They sold Leffe beer here though, I remember that much...
This made me laugh. The only English speaking channels we could get in the room were CNN and Eurosport. So we watched a bit of tennis. As you can see, the names in the top left of the screen spell 'Sod You', which of course, appealed to my sense of humour :-)
We got back to the UK yesterday, Paul headed off back to Denmark (he has probably only just got home now!) When we landed at Birmingham, it turned out FlyBe had not bothered packing a few peoples Ski's, boards and luggage, and of course my ski's where one of those that hadn't been packed onto the plane. It could have been worse though - they hadn't bothered to pack Mikes suitcase or his (and my) snowboard!
Lets see how long it takes them to get them posted to us!
***This pic is for Tony***
We spotted this in Birmingham last week...Didn't you write the software for these touch screen things?! :-DD

Yes I did write the software for the Touch-TV estate agent's window - probably why the company no longer exists :'-(
Well the snowboards have turned up apparently, but no sign of the skis or luggage
