I Drove to Birmingham...

...to have dinner at Mikes. Bit of a dumb thing to do I hear you saying, as I live in Lincoln, and I would have to agree. However, when I set off I believed I was going to see Nine Inch Nails at the Carling Academy.

I have been into NIN for years, so I was really looking forward to seeing them. We had just sat down to the paella Mike had cooked, when Rich G rang us to inform us of a message on the NIN website stating that 'due to unforeseen circumstances' NIN were unable to perform, and that the gig had been re-scheduled for August 28th.

Pants....So I finished my meal and effed off back home.

On Monday, I have decided to ring work up and say that due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to attend work, but that I have re-scheduled my appearance for later in the week. My employers, being the understanding chaps that they are wont mind at all :-)
