Today I have started to put the roof on my garage! I had some help from Mark, my Neighbours brother in-law, I really couldn't have done it without his guidance, so many thanks to him and also for his patience when he tried to explain the concepts to me and I didn't quite get it!
At this point, I also must mention Helen and Carol, who read the blog, and are a bit miffed that I haven't mentioned them yet on here! Helen, Marks fiance, and Carol (my neighbour) have spent the day building a bed...anyway, back to the garage :-)
As you can see from this picture, one side of the roof is felted and battened down. However, it seems that Jewsons have calculated the battens and the tiles for one side only :-( I will have to ring them on Monday
From the inside...if you use your imagination, its almost like its nearly finished.
I am so impatient. All I want to do now is get the tiles on. Also, that gap in the hedge will soon be fenced off, apparently the previous owners used to park their burger van there...hmmm classy :-)
Anyway, I'm quite chuffed at the moment.
