Have you ever tried Belgian Waffles? No? Well you should - they are yummy. Especially when they are laced with maple syrup and cream.
Anyway, yesterday, for breakfast I had six of the buggers and they were absolutely great. I enjoyed everyone of them.
It wasn't until later in the day, that a friend was round and read the food labeling information. Turns out that each waffle has 125 calories in (thats without the cream and syrup!) and 7.3 grammes of fat...So, times ll that by 6, and I have already had more than half of my calorie intake for the day - all before 9am!
Well its a good job Im off to the gym today :-)
Made me think that food labeling isn't such a good idea, because I limited my waffle intake to only 2 today :-( I had to supplement my breakfast with a fried egg sandwich, which didn't come without any guilt labeling
Ho Hum...

seems to me all this food labelling can be described in one easy word.............bollocks!!!!.
when i was a kid did my mam ever read a bloody food wrapper? no she didnt, how many calories were in one of her breakfasts she cooked for me, bacon egg sausage tomatoes fried bread and a few slices to make sarnies with? a bloody lot thats how many, how many grammes of fat did her meat pies contain? shitloads thats how much. the difference was we werent as lazy then as we are now so we burnt off all the excess fat, plus every other shop in the high street wasnt a fast food takeaway shop. we ate proper meals and not convenience foods which probably contain more chemicals than food, our parents cooked proper meals for us using proper ingredients and not all the shit we have today, there wasnt such a thing as a tv dinner, i didnt know what a kebab wasor a pizza or a vindaloo, the closet to a takeaway i got was fish and chips,we walked to places and didnt jump into a car just to go short distances, therefore we never had to go to the gym because we werent fat.
