What a busy week its been. Was supposed to have had last week off, but had to go into work on Friday to get some urgent stuff done.
Managed to get (most of) my Christmas shopping done on Sunday. I tried not to moan too much, and I didn't do too badly, but the whole stupid season does my head in.
The garage continues to get closer to being finished! I only need to get the felt on, and then tile it. I wish i wasn't so impatient, but I just can't wait to get it done. I started to put the foundations in for the wall Im building at the front the other day. One of the neighbours came out in her coat to tell me she was so pleased progress was being made on the house!
Tony Blair never ceases to amaze me. This is the 'honest bloke' who came to power on a ticket of trust almost 10 years ago, and this week we have him being questioned about the Cash for Honours scandal. Do you remember how he ravaged Major's government for being sleazy and corrupt? He warned his MP's they must be 'Whiter than White'. Fair enough, he wasn't questioned under caution, but the whole seedy affair is all about New Labour, and their values.
And of course, under the 'New' Labour regime, corruption and blackmail is absolutely fine, as long as there is a 10 billion pounds defence contract at the end of it.
Roll on the general election, I say.

i dont suppose when he was telling his MPs about being whiter than white he was worried about john prescott becoming a babe magnet lol
I have done all my Christmas shopping too - hehe - but then, I only have Mrs Evo to buy for - she does the rest. I've even wrapped them all!
As for TB, I can't see DC winning the election can you? TB standing down will probly do enough to appease the electorate.
Trouble for the tories seems to be that its quite difficult to think of a high profile one that hasn't already been the leader.
To be honest, no, I can't see DC winning. However, I can't see the electorate buying all the guff and flannel Gordon Brown will spew out either.
Its difficult to see any leadership qualities in any MP these days. They are all scared to speak their minds and *not one* party has any innovative ideas.
Vote for me, I say...I'll drag this country up from its boots!
do you think that image has a lot to do with finding a leader these days, if you dont look good you dont stand a chance, there have been a lot of people on talk sport lately(it isnt sport during a night, its serious conversation)who have been saying william hague could be in with a shout of a return. i dont know if i agree with that but i think image had a lot to do with his downfall. i dont think the baseball caps helped his cause either, (that was him wasnt it)?
Ironically, I measure the downfall of Hague as being the death of Diana.
TB - of course, he couldn't care a less, but he was straight in with his condolences. What did Hague do (I honestly think he did care), he stood up saying, "Why is TB trying to make political benefit out of this". Bad move. The stupid British public don't like that sort of thing.
LOL! I havent been to the Dr's for 20 years. Don't trust them bastards
ginger, the moral of this tale is, marry the practise nurse, get her to give your insurance form to the practise secretary who sticks it in front of the doctor, says sign this. then she returns it to the practise nurse who gives it to me............cost £0
