Beta Blogger Problems?

I have just tried to comment on one of these new Beta Blogger sites (Phillips) that blogspot are trying to get us to switch to.

I click the sign on as google/blogger radio button, and it tells me that anonymous postings aren't allowed on that site! I tried again this morning, and it said that I wasn't recognised

I think Blogspot need to hire better 'web monkey's' or at least test the code before releasing it.

I use the Beta version. You need to sign in to your account before typing your comment. I forget to do it every time and have to cut & paste my comments when I realise.

I cant post on Phil's either - but I just assumed that he'd blocked me lol

I have one of those ones - its something you can set up so only friends/family can read the blog, instead of random weirdos like myself to yours.... te he he

im wondering if there is a problem between the ones that have and the ones that havent switched. i only switched because i came on one day and it gave me no option but to switch, i dont know why, wouldnt let me do anything til i switched. try doing what carl did, leave an annonymous comment but tell everyone who you are in the comment.

Im sure I was signed in when I tried to post...ho hum

CJ...I think its the random weirdo's that make reading blogs interesting!

I've not been given the option and to be honest, I don't really know the difference.

I suspect I shall switch over if prompted.

Oh, and I'm always signed in so it cant be that.

Maybe you all need 'Jane' to guide you.

I just tried the following...

1. Signed into blogger, posting on Phillips blog - FAILED

2. Signed out of Blogger, FAILED

3. Anonymous - FAILED!

I was using FireFox, so I thought that maybe the web monky's hadn't tested it on other browsers, but even when I signed in on Explorer, it still failed!

So, either Phillip hasn't set the right settings on his blog to allow global posts, or Blogger has released sub-standard software...

Are you signing in with your google account first? Cos I think you need to set up an account for it to work.

I might be wrong cos I'm only a woman.

I dont have a google account, and I dont want one...

well I think that is the only way Beta works.

Well I suppose its only a Beta version, but there is no way Im switching until its all fixed and working properly.

I have just read the FAQ's and there is no mention of a known problem with posting comments.

It irk's me too that you have to create a Google account. Remember that Google were almost forced by Big Brother, sorry the Bush administration to hand over peoples personal data, Im sure its only a matter of time before they are forced to do so.
