My House

Spent all this weekend building my patio. Its still not finished but it almost is. Me and my dad have pretty much broken the back of it. I even built my first ever wall! I decided to take some pics of the whole house too. Check them out below.....
This is the front of the house. The front garden extends around the half finished garage, which you can see below. The front garden is pretty big. You can see the gap in the hedge, the garden bit round there is mine too.

This is the kitchen. I love the kitchen - nice and big!

Living room - very much like the place I lived in in Hanley Swan, except this place has an open fire. You can see the conservatory in the background

And here is the conservatory :-) It gets really hot in there in this weather - hence the fan in the bottom of the picture. I got the furniture for £26 on eBay, how cool is that?!

And lets not forget the bog! (Heh heh, Ive just blogged my bog!) This pic doesnt really do it justice, cos you can't see the jacuzzi bath. But it is a big bathroom.

Well, here's a few pics of the patio that me and my dad have been building this weekend. I dug out the soil for it a couple of weeks ago, and on Saturday we started to build it. This shot shows the mini mountain I moved (with a shovel, not faith)

This is it once the pavers were laid. That wheel barrow full of hardcore used to be the wall around the edge of the garden, which I knocked down.

This is the wall I built! You can see it taking shape now. Pretty cool wall eh? And the steps are going to look damn good when its done.

Hopefully it will be finished next weekend...why does work have to get in the way of doing stuff you enjoy? :-)

Angela life seems to revolve around wanting to get pissed all the time, i would seriously think about getting some help.

Why is that not what life is about.... I must have been misguided along the way then :(

Looks like a lovely big house with a great kitchen. Gill would love it.
But I think there has to be a debate about the dodgy picture on the living room wall. How should I put this - there's a phrase I know with the words bean and flicking in it!

Hi Tony...I had that pic in Hanley Swan - don't you remember it?! Its called 'Flaming June' apparently.

When you visit the Great Wall of China, see if their brick work is as good as mine :-D

mark, what i think lis was saying was that the painting flaming jne was painted by fredric, lord leighton, a victorian artist. a very british aristocrat

Lis said...

Lord Leighton, the artist of 'Flaming June'. He was a painter of the Victorian era, a classicst painter and sculptor.

Did I mention I am also an Art History teacher?

Mark T said...

I didn't realise you taught Art History - Im very impressed! Are prints of his art work worth much? :-)

phil said...

the originals may be worth a few pounds but yours is a reproduction so i wouldnt get excited. the original actually hangs in the museo de arte ponce in puerto rico.
not in a sleepy linc. village but if it was the real thing you may well be climbing on that plane with me to disneyland

oh im ever so sorry. will go back to school and re take my english o level again.

phil said...

and can i ask how a hobby horse be a pet? its a toy surely. and no angela it isnt my thing. also disneyland will be full of f***ing yanks and i hate them even more than music, but i will make this sacrifice for my kids. thats what you do when you are a parent as you must well know.

Angie said...

Well Im impressed you doing that as a sacrifice for your kids. Would have thought you'd have paid for Tracey and her mum to take them without you.

Rob also refuses to go to Disneyland has he would be deported the first time he hears a yanks voice.

Ever thought of Euro Disney I hear its great there too, with the added bonus of no yanks hopefully.

phil said...

if im gonna go on a holiday like that i wouldnt dream of euro disney, why take the cheap option, i wanna do it right, and as for paying for tracy and her mum to take them, if we go on a holiday we go together, thats what families do.

We're all family Phil - you should treat us all :-)

I was mixing metaphors for comedic effect.

I enjoyed it - and that's all that matters.
