Continuing on the hot weather theme, I was driving home the other evening listening to radio 4, and the news item was about Englands hottest day. The news reader proclaimed that England had been hotter than the Costa Del Sol and even hotter than Rio de Janiero.
Well of course it would be hotter than Rio, its winter in the southern hemisphere innit?
Made me wonder how often the media use these little snippets of 'junk' in their reports...I'll look out for them more often now

well bugger me, when you were in yankeeland(and i dont mean the burger place) you listened to all these trendy stations. xyz123 fm etc. now you are home in blighty its radio 4. lol. the maturity of a property owner lol.
Well when I was in the USA the commercial stations seemed to have a bit more oomph to them that they do in this country - apart from the last time I was there, and they all started to get a bit bitchy, which didnt make for good listening. So I used to listen to NPR (national public radio) cos that was a bit like radio 4.
I listen to radio 4 quite a lot, they usually have a good play on (i really gotta write a radio play one day) and I am a bit of a news junky
a good play? my god mark i hope all your radical mates dont read this, at least thats your xmas pressie from martin sorted this year, some star wars slippers.
to match my star wars money box? :-)
you will be pleased to know that the plan for the money box has been fulfilled and at the second attempt it has been successful. lol.
