I just love a good conspiracy theory blog...I happened to start writing this post at 9:38am, so we have 9 and then 3+8 = 11; 9 11 - coincidence?? I think not!
Anyway, I happened upon this blog: http://postmodern-research.blogspot.com/
It always amazes me how people come up with this stuff! I would just like to point out that the whole USA, Canada & Mexico 'union' plan was well known in Texas when I was there, as was the connection highway from Mexico to Loredo
Its worth a read though :-)

Half Life 2 again
Played some HL2 death match last night along with Mr Goatse. First time I have played since I got back from the states and on my PC rather than the laptop.
We played on the University of Lincoln server, and there were some really good maps. I can't believe Mr G won all the maps we played on :-( I still managed to kill him a few times by camping in dark corners though - ha! There is something incredibly satisfying about hurling a circular saw at your mate and seeing him chopped in two :-D
I also have a PS2 (it was one of the first things I unpacked!) but I find the PC games more playable. Unless of course it involves the eye toy :-)

A Trivia List
A list of the 10 most listened to songs on my iPod
1. Dance, Dance - Fallout Boy
2. Sugar, We're going Down - Fallout Boy
3. Where is the Love - Black Eyed Peas
4. Talk - Coldplay
5. Fix You - Coldplay
6. Ayesha - Death in Vegas
7. Closer - Nine Inch Nails
8. Hard to Handle - Black Crowes
9. Pride - U2
10. Little by Little - Oasis
Im loving the Falloutboy album at the moment (From Under the Cork Tree). Im quite surprised there aren't more u2 songs in there, and although Oasis are a little bit hit and miss for me, I love 'Little by Little' and 'Half the World Away'
***Update***Update***Update***
Maybe some readers (I call them Luddites) don't know what an iPod is, so here is a picture of one.
An iPod is basically a portable music player, that is manufactured by apple and has won many design awards. There are many different 'storage sizes'. My own iPod is a 3rd Generation 15GB which will allow me to store around 3,500 tunes on there. Frankly I don't have 3,500 songs, but Im approaching that limit. However, if I was to listen to them end to end, it would take me over 8 days to get through them all (although the Lou Reed section would be quite difficult to get thru!). I understand you can get 60GB (that gigabytes, Evo) versions, but surely no one has that much music? :-)

Its Quiz Time!
Starters for 10, no confering....
My street has 50 houses. Yesterday afternoon (before any storms) I returned from work to find that 2 of those houses had no electricity.
For 10 points, guess who's house was one of them?
Its still not back on this morning. When I rang the 'power' company I am with (who I will not name, but it begins with an 'n' and the last four letters are 'ower' and I believe there is a 'P' somewhere in there) they said there was no problem in my area.
After convincing them there was, they assured me they would have the engineers on it right away.
At 7:45 I decided to ring them again just to make sure (Remember I trust no one) they weren't fobbing me off. As I suspected they were feeding me a pack of lies and no engineers were on their way.
Anyway at 10:30 an bloke turned up and ran some tests, and assured me the line engineers would be out over night and the electricity would be back on in the morning.
Im still waiting now :-(

Green Green Grass
I finished digging out the patio and knocked the wall down. My patio looks like a scene from downtown Beirut at the moment.
All I have to do now is shift the soil I've dug out and put some grass seed down. I have anothere great gardening idea....
Instead of watering the seed with water, I have decided to water it with whiskey, because that way it will half cut when it grows :-)
Boom, Boom! Hmmm, well I don't think Tarby has much to fear from me surpassing his career do you?

Gardeners Question Time
Well, not really a question, more of a thought of the day....
You know all the laser guided precision bombs we read all about in the daily blah, and how accurate these things are, so accurate that they are called 'surgical strikes' well how about they stop using them to drop onto caves and bunkers and downtown Leb and instead help people with their gardens....
It occured to me last night as I dug out about 1 ton of mud, soil and hardcore (no, Mr Goatse, not the porno version ur thinking of) that my job would be so much easier if the they could target my back garden with say, a 500lb version, and I would have an instant patio dug out, and the rest of the garden would be nicely dug over. I could even turn the crater into a pond.
I think its a brilliant solution, they could even pack some shells with grass seed, flower seeds and shrubs, for an 'instant garden' effect. Everyone would be safe, because as the politicans tell us, these things are so accurate no one would be harmed, and I wouldn't ache as much as I do today.
Im great at 'Blue Sky thinking', I am.

Cruel Fate, Why do you mock me so?
Last week, record temperatures, hot and sunny...
I hire a rotavator to do the garden
I spark the device up, literally 2 seconds into the job, the heavens open
Why does it always rain on me?

Heard on the Radio
Continuing on the hot weather theme, I was driving home the other evening listening to radio 4, and the news item was about Englands hottest day. The news reader proclaimed that England had been hotter than the Costa Del Sol and even hotter than Rio de Janiero.
Well of course it would be hotter than Rio, its winter in the southern hemisphere innit?
Made me wonder how often the media use these little snippets of 'junk' in their reports...I'll look out for them more often now

Hot Day
Its supposed to be the hottest day in the UK for a hundred years or so today. The advice is to drink more fluids, however they didn't stipulate wether you should drink more Guinness or more wine.
Best drink more of both to be on the safe side...

Surfing Pics
Well as promised here are some pics, courtesy of Tony 'DVT' C of the camping and 'surfing' weekend a couple of weeks ago.
Here's Baz...from this picture it acutally looks like he's only drinking tea - He must have been hiding the 2 litres of evil scrumpy under his chair
I singed my hair, and burnt my leg - can't possibly think why?!

This is 'Mongy', my brother drinking the apple juice.
Me, Imogen and Mongy struggling to put the tent up
I was quite chuffed that the tent went up pretty well
So, where exactly is the surf, Mongy?
Certainly not here!
Might as well have a few beers and play frisbee and footy
Then of course, after working up such a thirst, its down to the pub
Mr Goatse on the right and Rich
Dorit 'tends' the BBQ
'This would make a good toilet - just behind Mr Goatse's tent!'
The chinea was burning 'eco coal' basically compacted sawdust. It burnt really well - I love burning stuff, I do!I singed my hair, and burnt my leg - can't possibly think why?!

My Weekend
This weekend I had a fantastic time in my garden with a cheap hoe. I got stuck in, as my girlfriend shouted encouragement at me as she watched.
Im absolutely knackered now, that hoe really wore me out...Im stiff all over and very very sore. It will be worth it though, despite the soil being a bit difficult to turn, I've nearly finished it all, so I'll just need to turf or seed it

Surfing and Broadband
Well Im up and running here in sunny Lincolnshire. Got the house put straight, with more than a little help from my mum, dad and Claire (thanks!) The place seems really big compared with what I was used to in Malvern, and even my mum reckons her house is smaller! The gardens are going to take some time to maintain, and I want to rotavate and turf the back garden. Luckily, I havent yet electrocuted myself, so Im doing well if past DIY exploits are anything to go by.
The broadband sprung to life on Monday, but my PC's power supply decided to go 'Bang' last Thursday as I was updating my iPod. The broadband is taking a while to settle, cos appaerntly they run some line tests to optimise speed before you get the full monty.
The 'Surfing' weekend was great! However, there was absolutely no surf whatsoever! We ended up playing footy, rounders and frisbee on the beach, before heading off to the pub, to drink ourselves beautiful, which obviously took my brother longer than the rest of us :-) I have a few pictures to post when I get them off my phone, and Im sure other people have some too
Anyway, Im off to water my hanging baskets - its tough being a homeowner :-)

What a Surprise
What did I say?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5153140.stm
Very busy at the moment, but behold, all those who doubt there is a conspiracy against me :-D
My broadband will be switched on on Monday, so I'll write more then and post pics
